SUMMARY:Under managerial supervision, the IT Application Security Analyst administers and analyzes user security in applications by managing user accounts and data access controls across production, development, and test environments for both limited and enterprise-wide applications. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Create, modify and maintain user accounts for various user applications including responding to requests for new user account creations and termination actions.Develop, update, and administer permissions lists, roles, and profiles across production, development, and testing environments.Utilize in-depth knowledge of the interaction between and within applications to effectively develop and maintain best practices relative to user security.Maintain data via Database Query for auditing purposes (both internal and external) relative to user and class security.Apply security to new menus, panels and views in production, development and test environments based on requirements provided by development teams and end user community super users in production and development and test environments.Analyze reports from various applications to determine efficiency and validity of current applications security environment.Analyze requests from the Business Analysts to make sure the requests follow best practices and offer alternatives when a more efficient solution exists that still maintains a secure application.Assist with performing programmed systems security audits and evaluations relative to user applications to identify security risks and exposures of business information systems.Assist with appropriate measures to reduce identified security deficiencies relative to user applications.Address Technical Support tickets as related to user access and errors. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree and two to five years of experience related to basic user applications and operating systems including technical support experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience required.Proficient knowledge of the ERP system required. Knowledge of proprietary and commercial applications is preferred. CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES:PeopleSoft security / ERP training preferred.
